However, it was revived in 1989 when it was acquired by Nikka Whisky Distilling Co., a Japanese company founded by Masataka Taketsuru, who had trained in Scotland and is considered the father of Japanese whisky. Today, Ben Nevis Distillery continues to produce its signature single malt, blending traditional Scottish methods with Japanese precision.
Visiting the Ben Nevis Distillery
